On August 18 and 19, NOFAS Vice President, Kathy Mitchell provided an
overview of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) funded
NOFAS Clearinghouse and Media Outreach Center: A Model of Collaboration,
Communication and Capacity Building project to participants of the CDC’s
National Center on Birth Defects and Developmental Disabilities FASD
Regional Training Centers (RTC) Grantee Meeting held in Atlanta,
Georgia. Participants at the meeting heard presentations from Jeanne
Mahoney, Director of the Partnership Project; the American College of
Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG); and Faiza Khan, MPH, FASD
Program Manager for American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP). The meeting
also featured presentations on recent activities and updates from all of
the CDC RTC’s including:
