A Play about Postpartum Depression and Broader Cultural Views of Motherhood, In the Shadow of My Son, was written, adapted and directed by Nadine Bernard. The play focuses on the experiences of three mothers who have suffered from postpartum depression.

The play is sponsored by the Gateway Northwest Maternal and Child Health Network & New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services and is free to the public. It is especially important to have new mothers and pregnant women attend this play to learn more about postpartum depression.

Credits are available with a minimal registration fee for nurses and social workers who want to earn two hours of continuing education for attending, for more information please click here.
