Ending Domestic Violence

An article in The New York Times supports the recommendation by the surgeon general and the American Medical Association to have physicians routinely screen women for domestic abuse.   Questioning about violence in the home may be a key element to begin the process of ending the abuse.  Domestic violence is common among women and puts them at increased risk of chronic pain, depression, anxiety and alcohol and substance abuse.  Click here for more information
