The Collaborative on Health and the Environment’s Learning and Developmental Disabilities Initiative has published a consensus statement that outlines the current scientific understanding of the links between environmental factors and developmental disabilities.  Their statement serves as a guide to scientists, medical professionals, policy makers, public health advocates, and the general public to advance efforts to address the important individual and social issues raised by exposing fetuses and young children to a myriad of toxic agents.  The consensus statement is available through the link above.
